Gloria Ebarb, 85, of Austin, formerly of Thorndale, died Saturday, July 25, 2020, at her home in Austin.

There will be a private family graveside service.

In January 1953, she married Ellis Edward Ebarb. Shortly after that they moved to Houston until 1986 when they moved to Thorndale. They lived in Thorndale for 30 years before moving to Austin.

While in Houston, they built and operated a restaurant named “The City Dump” and a convenient store/restaurant called “The Hatfields and McCoys.”

Mrs. Ebarb was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Eunice McCoy; three brothers, Doyle McCoy, Donald McCoy, and Floyd McCoy; two sisters, Dorothy Lawrence and Doris Springer; and a brother-in-law, Calvin Springer.

Survivors are her husband, Ellis Ebarb of Austin; two daughters, Cheryl Haber and husband Jim of Austin, Rhonda Gilchrist of Hutto; a son, Doyle Ebarb of Austin; her grandchildren, Will Haber and wife Chau of New York, Katie Lee Haber of Austin; a great-granddaughter, Zoe Haber; a brother, Charles McCoy and wife Shirley of Thorndale; and a sister, Kaye Blunt of Austin.
