Finch

Sherry Dale Finch, 73, of Rockdale died Friday, April 2, 2021, at her home in Rockdale surrounded by her family.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 6, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in with Pastor Wil Rockdale with Pastor William Plotts officiating.

Mrs. Finch was born March 7, 1948, to John Otto and Clara Tandy (Perry) Tesh in Statesville, North Carolina.

On Nov. 3, 1990, she married Nelard Mardies Finch in Rockdale.

Mrs. Finch worked as a hairstylist.

She had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her plants. She loved her family, friends and furbabies.

Mrs. Finch was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Tesh; and her father and stepmother, John and Dorothy Tesh.

Survivors are her husband, Nelard Finch; six children, Jonilyn and Rocky Moore, Billy and Robbye Morsko, Cole and Julie Rogers, Ryan and Marissa Peikert, Nicki and Tim Castaneda, Cody and Tina Finch; 19 grandchildren, Chance and wife Alexis, Mikey and wife Melisa, Dylon, Cayle, Morgan and husband Truitt, Nathan, Jill and husband Coleman, Jana, James, Jordan, Hunter, Brandon, Drayton, Taylor, Brittny, Brianna, Issac, Olivia and Gabriella; a lifelong best friend, Sandra Thurman and son Chubby; a brother, Barry Tesh; and a sister, Karen King and Clarence; also, 30 great-grandchildren.
