AUSTIN—Amy Kathryn Fine, 49, died at her home in Austin on Feb. 14, 2020.

She was born on May 25, 1970, at Richards Hospital in Rock-dale to Nancy Owen Burd and William Clarke Bennett.

She graduated from Florence High School in Florence in 1988 and attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in San Marcos.

Mrs. Fine loved live music and was an active supporter of the Austin music community, where she made many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Burd; her father, Clarke Bennett; paternal grandparents Purcell and Eulabee Bennett; maternal grandparents Lewis and Hyacinth Holiday Owen; an aunt, Debra Owen; a nephew, Michael Lance Culbertson; and parents-in-law Jack and LaVerne Fine.

Survivors are her husband Rick Fine; and his daughters, Kelly Garemko and husband Michael and their son Wally, and Rebecca Goldfarb and husband Aaron; her mother, Nancy Burd; a brother, Michael Burd; her siblings, Don and Billy Bennett; her aunts, Becky Vinson and husband Russ, Bonnie Steele, Pat Von-Gonten and husband, Becky Sheffield and husband Larry, Karen Hendrix and husband Joe; an uncle, John Owen and wife Debbie; also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, both at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr. in Austin.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.

She married Charles “Hoot” Gibson Jr. in January 1951 in Appleby and they lived in Rockdale, Houston, Sealy and moved to the Salty community after her husband retired.

Mrs. Gibson was a devoted wife and mother.

She had been a member of the Town & Country Club of Thorndale since 1984.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Hoot” Gibson Jr.; a son, Sam Taylor Gibson; her parents, Conda and Ethel Muckelroy; a grandson, Ethan Taylor Johnson; a grandson-in-law, Billy Parr; four siblings, Delbert Muckelroy, Bill Muckelroy, Leta Crunk and Mildred Boening; a brother-in-law, Grady Gibson; and her mother and father-in-law, Charles and Ellye Rhae Gibson.

Survivors are two daughters, Becky Hozak and husband Alan of Wallis, Paula Johnson of Thorndale; three grandchildren, Karey Reber and husband Jason, Katie Parr and Trevor Johnson; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah Reber, Chase Parr, Kendra Reber and Jacob Alvarado; also, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
