THORNDALE—Larry Joe Fisher, 70, of Thorndale died Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Pastor Craig Schinnerer officiating. Burial will be at Salty Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mr. Fisher was born March 8, 1951, in Salty to William Franklin “Billy” and Imogene (Cook) Fisher.

He was a lifelong resident of Thorndale.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he and Jennifer Patschke were married on July 11, 1970.

Mr. Fisher was an honorary member of Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department, former School Board member, past president of Thorndale Chamber of Commerce and, in his spare time, a gun smith. He worked 45 years at Alcoa as an electrician and retired April 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Imogene Fisher; a brother, Jerry Lynn Fisher; and a father-in-law, Ernest Patschke.

Survivors are his wife, Jennifer Fisher of Thorndale; their children, Khrys Fisher of New Orleans, Louisiana, Billie Jo Fisher of New York, New York, Adam Fisher and wife Courtney of Thorndale; his grandchildren, Emmerson, Hannah and Jake Fisher; his brothers, Jim Fisher, Keith Fisher and wife Debra, all of Salty; his sisters-in-law, Donna Fisher, Gayle Daniell and Tommy Roberts, all of Thorndale; and his mother-in-law, LauraBelle Patschke of Thorndale; also, a number of nieces and nephews and his beloved cat “Patches.”
