Frank Anthony Garcia
Frank Anthony Garcia, 63, of Rockdale passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at his home in Rockdale.
He was born on July 24, 1960, to Frank Silva Garcia and Dora Lopez in Taylor.
On June 14, 1985, he married Esther Ybarra in Grand Mr. Garcia Prairie.
Mr. Garcia proudly served in the U.S. Army, retir ing from service on May 22, 2015. He continued for the Army as a civil engineer.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member and team leader for Crew 4 for the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Garcia was also a member of the VFW and American Legion, where he overlooked the gun range.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Lopez Mancillas; his father, Frank S. Garcia; a sister, Diana Martinez; a stepbrother, Danny Mancillas; his grandparents, Santiago and Juanita Garcia, and Nicholas and Juanita Lopez.
Survivors are his loving wife of 38 years, Esther Garcia of Rockdale; two sons, Andre Ybarra and Frank Garcia Jr. and wife Ashley, all of Rockdale; a daughter, Tiffany Llanas and husband Domingo of Rockdale; his stepfather, Ronnie Mancillas Sr. of Rockdale; his sisters, Brenda Young and husband David of Rockdale, Gloria Wall and husband Kenith of Rockdale, Doreen Martinez and husband Ramon of Taylor, Dianna Covarrubias Mancillas of Plant City, Florida, Ninfa Mancillas, Kristi Knowles and husband of Devine; his brothers, Hector Garcia and wife Trisha, and Ronnie Mancillas Jr., all of Rockdale; and his grandchildren, David Ybarra, Alize Llanas, Hazel Llanas, Arianna Ybarra, Domingo Llanas, Adam Llanas and Tristan Llanas; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Father Pedro Castillo officiating.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Pallbearers will be Andre Ybarra, Frank Garcia Jr., David Ybarra, Domingo Llanas II, Hector Garcia and Ronnie Mancillas.
Honorary pallbearers are Domingo Llanas III, Adam Llanas and Tristan Llanas.
