Gary

Anna Laura Ainsworth Gary was born in Farrah Oaks to Tom and Minnie Ainsworth, on Feb. 16, 1926.

She passed from this life on July 18, 2022, at the age of 96.

Services will be held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale on Thursday, July 21. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Bro. Dave Barclay. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria following the service.

Mrs. Gary retired from Edward Jones at the age of 80. In previous years, she worked at Community National Bank in Rockdale and First National Bank of Victoria.

She married John Thomas Gary in Vernal, Utah, by a Methodist preacher in a Mormon home.

Their first home was in Rangely, Colorado, where John worked in the oilfield. After several moves, they settled in Victoria. In 1978, John and Laura moved to Milano.

Mrs. Gary was a member of First Baptist Church in Milano.

She enjoyed her association with the Rockdale Garden Club, where she made many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Gary, and her siblings, Essie Lawless, Earl Ainsworth, Ralph Ainsworth, Maron Ainsworth, Richard Ainsworth, Mabel Rundell, Emma Francis, Agnes Willeford, and Sister Peck.

Survivors are her son, Tom Wyatt Gary, and his mate, Carolyn Long, along with multiple nieces and nephews.
