Manuela “Mamie” Guzman, 84, of Rockdale was called home by Our Lord on June 12, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. A Rosary will be recited from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father John officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Holland, Texas, to Celestino and Minia Medina.
Mamie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend whose faith, kindness and devotion to family touched the lives of all who knew her.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and the many cherished memories she created with her family and friends throughout her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Svrcek, Johnny Oballe, Brandon Stark, Justin Jones, Victor Medina Jr. and Faustino Gonzalez Honorary pallbearers are Robert Aguilar, Leo Dubey, Tom Alejandro and Florentino Medina Jr.
