MIL ANO— Mar y Beard Smith Haley, 90, died peacefully at her daughter’s residence in San Angelo on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, surr oun d e d by loved ones.

She was born in Milano on Oct. 10, 1932.

Mary was a devout member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Services will be via Zoom in March.

Mary spent most of her adult life as a resident of Baytown.

She was hired by M. Cecil Bobbitt at the age of 23 and worked for his firm for 21 years. Subsequently, she worked as CFO for a multimillion- dollar firm until retirement.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Harlon Haley, whom she married Oct. 12, 2002; and three daughters, Barbara Owens of San Angelo, Deborah Dittman of Baytown, and Mary Kathleen Smith of Baytown.

Her grandchildren include Mary Lisa Fitzgerald, Scott Fitzgerald, Kelli Pal, Sean Grover, Chad Dittman, Cheri Ramirez and Daniel Smith.

Mary also leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her urn and ashes will be interred at Sand Grove Garden of Memories Cemetery in Milano.
