Hernandez

Johnny Hernandez, 66, of Rockdale died Sunday, April 19, 2020, near Rockdale.

Visitation was to be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Hernandez was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Cameron to John and Delores (Masiel) Hernandez.

He was a life-long resident of Rockdale and worked as a general laborer.

Mr. Hernandez was raised in the Catholic Church.

He enjoyed fishing, riding his bike and working in different yards and flower beds.

Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents, John and Delores Hernandez.

Survivors are his sister, Sylvia Olguin and friend Bill Carson of San Antonio; four stepsons, Casey Allen, Brandon Allen and Bradley Allen, all of Rockdale, Billy C. Allen of Victoria; a niece, Christi Horning; and two nephews, Joe Alderete and Ricky Alderete.

Pallbearers are Joe Alderete, Ricky Alderete, Casey Allen, Brandon Allen, Bradley Allen and Billy Allen.
