Holliman

Olen P. Holliman Jr., 71, of Rockdale died at his home Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020.

Graveside services were set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Forest Grove Cemetery in the Forest Grove community.

Mr. Holliman was born Nov. 30, 1948, in Cameron to Carmen Lucille (Tyler) and Olen P. Holliman Sr.

He was a graduate of Rockdale High School and Texas A&M University.

Mr. Holliman worked as a financial officer with agriculture loans.

He raised registered Brahman cattle and was a member of the Brahman Association. The Brahman Journal ran a feature story on Mr. Holliman.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn football fan.

Mr. Holliman was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Olen P. Holliman Sr.; a sister, Alma Joy Holliman; and a niece, Kathy Llast.

Survivors are two sisters, Faye Schoneman of Somerville, Mary Ridgway of Austin; and his nieces and nephews, Paul Ridgway of Elkland, Missouri, Wanda Cousins of Austin, Mary Lynn Benfer of Citrus Springs, Florida, and John Llast of Caldwell.
