Houser

Visitation for Harold Houser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, with services to follow at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

He was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Scranton, Arkansas, to Herbert Houser and Ada (Gilmore) Houser.

Mr. Houser attended school in Arkansas and enlisted in the U.S. Marines on April 3, 1946. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 12, 1948.

Mr. Houser moved to Baytown in 1953.

He went to work for Eastern States Oil and retired from Hill Oil Co. on Jan. 1, 1991.

He married Ollie Dean Harrison on May 30, 1983.

Mr. Houser was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ada Houser; a sister, Jessie Battabee; a brother, Eugene Houser; a son, William Neely Houser; a daughter, Belinda Schlottman and her husband Kenneth; and grandson, Scott LE Schlottman; also, four infant siblings.

Survivors are his wife, Ollie Dean Houser; a brother, Buddy Houser; a daughter, Pamela Scott and husband Ricky; and son, Lamar Harrison; also, seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
