Corolita Faye “Corky” Huddleston, 84, of Bastrop, formerly of Milano, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at Silver Pines Nursing Home in Bastrop.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Garland Moffet and Pastor Chad Lagrone officiating. Burial will be at Milano Cemetery in Milano.

Visitation is set for 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Huddleston was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Stephenville to Cloyd Orval and Eva Elizabeth (Kerley) Hancock.

She married Albert Dewey Huddleston on April 17, 1953, in Houston.

Mrs. Huddleston worked as a teacher’s aide with Milano ISD for 14 years, retiring in 2009.

She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rock-dale and a lifetime member of Rockdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Dewey in 2005; her mother, Elizabeth Naff; her father, Orval Hancock; a great-grandson, Blake Harless; three brothers, Bobby, Charles and Billy Joe Hancock; and a sister, Maurieta Moggnet.

Survivors are her children, Dennis Huddleston and wife Danna of New Braunfels, Theresa Huddleston and Terry Martin of Milano, James Huddleston and wife Sondra of Kemah, Stephen Huddleston and wife Shauna of San Marcos; two brothers, Randall Lewis Hancock of Grangerland, Nolan Hancock of Onalaska; four sisters, Jean Chernosky of Houston, Karen Holman and Cynthia Mode, both of Bastrop, Brenda Cook of Milano; 11 grandchildren, Wade, Renee, Kelsey, Savana, Tyler, Madison, Kayla, Hailey, Brittany, Candice and Zachary; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cheyene, Breanna, Ashlynn, Trevor, Jacob and Branson; and three great-great-grandchildren, Alison, Brayden and Juliette.

Pallbearers are James Huddleston, Tyler Huddleston, Stephen Huddleston, Tx Harless, Wade Harrison and Terry Martin.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or to Breast Cancer Research.
