Sandra Jean “Sandy” Jackson, 69, of Rockdale died Monday, May 2, 2020, at her home near Rockdale.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Evangelist Dan Hash officiating.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Center on Dec. 13, 1950, to Othel George and Mildred Irene (Burkett) Sanford.

She married Jack Jackson on June 20, 1969, in Houston. They came to Rockdale where she lived the past 38 years.

Mrs. Jackson worked as a medical records supervisor and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jackson, on May 2, 2010; her parents; and a sister, Barbara Ann Freeman.

Survivors are her children, Michael Sean Jackson of Spring, Mark Allen Jackson of Huntsville, Matthew Shane Jackson of Bryan; five grandchildren, Mitchell Kyler Henson, David Michael Jackson, Katie Jackson, Lucas Jackson and Makaila Jackson; and two brothers, Othel George Sanford Jr. of Cypress, Gary Wayne Sanford of Sugarland; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
