TAYLOR—Johnny A. Juarez, 78, of Taylor died peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Ascen sion Seton in Round Rock. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p. m. Thurs day, Aug. 11, at Providence Funeral Homein Taylor.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, with burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery.

Mr. Juarez was born and raised in Rockdale, the youngest of three children born to Manuel and Dolores (Aldama) Juarez.

On Dec. 1, 1960, he married Carmen De La Rosa. They welcomed two children into their family, Terry and John Michael.

During his lifetime, Mr. Juarez worked a variety of different jobs. From odd jobs to the Schlitz Pontiac Dealership and Ker-Ban factory. For over 40 years, he worked as a seasonal cotton ginner, making his way upward to head cotton ginner. He worked as a ginner at Thrall Co-op and Waterloo Gin, as well as out in West Texas, depending on the time of year. During the off season, he had his own house leveling business.

Mr. Juarez was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Cosme Juarez.

Survivors are his wife, Carmen; a daughter, Terry Chaidez and husband Antonio; a son, John Michael Juarez and wife Sonia; and a sister, Elisa (Alice) Ramirez; also, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons David Chaidez, Fabian Franco, Ernesto Franco, Isaac Franco, Mikey Juarez, Mark Chaidez, Anthony Chaidez andXavier Juarez.Honorary pallbearers include Arthur Vega, Jim Downs, Tommy Pate, Mark Urbis, Rod Neitsch, Frankie Cervenka, Norman Frey, James Hendrix, J.B. Briones, Floyd Kruse and the Morning Breakfast Crew; as well asmany other friends.
