Terry Allen Keck, 62, of Burleson died on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at the VA Hospital in Dallas.

A graveside service will be held on at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Keith Koehl from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor officiating.

Mr. Keck was born Aug. 1, 1957, to Earnest Fay and Mary Jane (Thibodeaux) Keck in Rogers, Arkansas.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

On May 25, 1996, he married Irene Leyendecker in Fort Worth.

He worked as a state and nuclear certified welder.

Mr. Keck was a motorcyclist at heart and was a rock hound. He became a member of the Fort Worth Gem & Mineral Club and later joined the Arlington Gem & Mineral Club, where he was a long-time member and vice president. He enjoyed demonstrating at gem shows and teaching children all about rocks. Along the way he also became a silversmith.

Mr. Keck was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Fay Keck, and his mother, Mary Jane Griffin.

Survivors are his wife, Irene Keck of Burleson; his stepchildren, Candy B. Schlicke of Portland, Oregon, Chris B. San Migel of Austin, Rahja R. Leyendecker and wife Hilliary of Crowley; his brothers, Earnest Keck and wife Lindy of Texarkana, Jimmy Keck of Louisville, Roger Keck and wife Nancy of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Derek Schlicke and wife Sarah of Portland, OR, Trey and Jeremy Schlicke of Kingsland, Quinn Timmers of Austin, Cheyenna Davis of Flower Mound; and his great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Eddie Schlicke of Portland, OR.

Pallbearers are Eddie Wilber, Chris Vasquez Jr., Earnest Garza, Jeremy Schlicke, Trey Schlicke and Rahja Leyendecker.
