CAMERON—John Louis Kestenbaum, 65, of Austin died Friday, Oct. 16, 2020.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at Corinth Cemetery, near Buckholts, filled with remembrances and memories of friends and family.

Mr. Kestenbaum was born Sept. 20, 1955, in Cameron to Dana Isaac and Cornelia Beatrice (Walschak) Kestenbaum.

He was a 1973 graduate of C.H. Yoe High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude f rom The University of Texas in Austin.

Mr. Kestenbaum was a member of the National Mensa Honor Society.

He was a political researcher and spent a portion of his career doing research for Karl Rove, former White House Chief of Staff. He also worked security for the University of Texas athletics. Mr. Kestenbaum was an

Mr. Kestenbaum was an avid sports fan and was an excellent athlete in his own right.

His parents, Dana and Bea Kestenbaum, preceded him in death.

Survivors are four sisters, Mary Kestenbaum of Edmonds, Washington, Betty Perrin of Eugene, Oregon, Margaret Green of Buckholts and Kitty Kestenbaum of Austin.
