June Key, 81, of Rockdale died Saturday, July 18, 2020, at her home.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Gary Veit of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Key was born July 12, 1939, in Rockdale to Leonard and Thelma (Stork) Kirchenwitz.

She was a lifelong Rockdale resident, a graduate of Rockdale High School and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale.

On June 1, 1957, she married Howard L. Key in Rockdale.

She collected antique glassware, furniture and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed remaking the dolls’ clothing and completely making each one unique.

Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Thelma Kirchenwitz; her husband, Howard Key on May 8, 2013; her oldest son, Charles Key on July 10, 2012 and son-in-law, John San Migel.

Survivors are her daughter, Bridgetta Paris and husband Ronnie of Rockdale; a son, Michael Key and wife Gracie of San Antonio; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Key of Rockdale; her grandchildren, Brandon San Migel and wife Mandy of Rockdale, Ethan Key of Castro Valley, California and Brittany Bell and husband Matt of Robinson; her great-grandchildren, Cruz San Migel, Owen Selgelid, Kyndal Selgelid and Kathryn San Migel; also, a number of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Terry Robbins, Aaron Roy Alford, Thomas Wenzel, Kennard Lee Morton, Charles Key and Seth Lane.
