Lana Gail McCoy

Lana Gail McCoy, 67, of Thrall passed away surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

The family will be having a memorial service at their home on CR 436, Thrall, at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 10. (The mailbox will be marked with a yellow bow.)

Lana was born, Sept. 1, 1953, in Terrell to Raymond and Vera Toland.

She spent her time in many projects and hobbies she found enjoyment in, refurbishing of homes, woodwork, ceramics, upholsteries and most importantly her family.

As the eldest daughter of seven siblings, she began the ability of organization and became a very widespread businesswoman. Her and her husband Roy, owned and operated Taylor Muffler Shop since 1982.

Lana leaves behind a very large family spread throughout Texas, but never lost touch with anyone of them.

Lana takes with her an abundance of love and gratitude from all her families she leaves behind. She will always be missed and always be loved by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wendell Toland; and a grandson, Matthew Hollman.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Lee McCoy; two daughters, LaDonyia Gail McCoy Young and Lana May McCoy; three sisters, Verica Harris, Brenda Klutts and Tammy Soto; two brothers, Raymond “Eric” Toland and Joey Toland; her grandchildren, Stacie Wells, Marvin Cantwell, JeNay Kell, LeAnn Cantwell and Maverick Young; and her great-grandchildren, Viola Redd, Heather Cantwell, Braxton Cantwell, Aubree Cantwell and Marvin Cantwell III; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
