TAYLOR—Wanda N. Legg, 85, of Rockdale, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.

A memorial service was held Sunday, April 25, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.

Wanda was born March 13, 1936, in Brown field to Alvis and Estelle Black.

Wanda held many jobs in her lifetime, from bookkeeper to administrative assistance to substitute teacher, but her favorite job of all was being married to Jim and raising their children.

Wanda enjoyed painting and drawing pictures and canvases for her children, as well as playing cards or dominoes with her children and grandchildren.

In their free time, her and Jim looked forward to taking their annual trip to Rockport to fish off the pier. If Wanda had it her way, she would always be near the water so she could fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 48 years, James Legg.

Wanda is survived by her children, Greg (Beth) Clark, Mark Clark, James D. (Allyson) Legg Jr., Michael R. (Leslie) Legg, and Carol Riffe; 12 grandchildren, Michelle (Justin) Watts, Thomas (Miranda) Bartley, Ian Clark, Heather (Dustin) Clawson, Nicole (Gage) Olson, Justin (Jessica) Legg, Ryan (Sammi) Riffe, Cody Legg, Brittany Riffe, Matthew (Ashley) Riffe and Kaitlyn and Cameron Legg; and her siblings-in-law, David (Nancy) Legg, Dan (Suzanne) Legg and Brenda (Ron) Martin; also, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
