Funeral services for Donald Hampton McCoy, 60, of Rockdale and formerly of Fairfield will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Casey Goetz of Tanglewood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the funeral home.

Donald was born April 19, 1961, to Donald Claude McCoy and Marjorie Ann (Johle) McCoy Little.

He graduated from Rockdale High School, Class of 1979 and was a graduate of Texas State Technical Institution for diesel mechanic and welding.

He lived in Fairfield 32 years where he worked with Luminant. He moved home to Rockdale where lived the past eight years.

He has worked as an electrician with the City of Austin the past 3½ years.

On Aug. 5, 2016, he and Audrey Denise Lockwood were married in Rockdale.

Donald loved to laugh, tell jokes and just being around people. He also loved to kayak, fish, go to the farm and being with his grandchildren.

He passed away at St. David’s Hospital in Austin on Friday, July 9, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald McCoy on Aug. 9, 2008; paternal grandparents, Claude and Jewel McCoy; maternal grandparents, Dempsey and Pearl Johle; nephew, Mason McCoy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Surviving are his wife Audrey McCoy of Rockdale; daughter, Chasity Jensen and husband Scott of Carthage, Missouri; son, Stephen McCoy and wife Toni of Waco; mother, Marjorie Little of Rockdale; brothers, Ron McCoy and wife Misty of Thorndale and John McCoy and wife Yvette of Rockdale; Sister, Catherine McCoy of Humble; step daughters, Shelby Dell of Rockdale, Megan Dell of Kansas City, Missouri and Maranda Dell of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Madden Jensen, Aubrey Kate Jensen, Brooke McCoy, Annabelle McCoy, Preston McCoy, Noah Dell and Ayden Dell.
