Mary Geraldine McIrvin, 77, of Rockdale died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Taylor.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. McIrvin was born May 7, 1944, i n C e n t r a l Falls, Rhode Island, to John P. and Margaret C. (Nesbit) LaBerge.

She met Elmer Archie McIr vin while he was stationed in Rhode Island and they were married on June 28, 1968, in Norton, Massachusetts.

Mrs. McIrvin was a homemaker, a beautician and a bus driver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Archie McIrvin on Aug. 24, 2020; a son, James McIrvin; and her parents, John P. and Margaret LaBerge.

Survivors are a son, Elmer Archie McIrvin Jr. of Rockdale; two daughters, Margaret Kerns, Tammy Barnett and husband Tilmon, all of Rockdale; and a daughter-in-law, Mary McIrvin; also, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
