McQuary

Denise McQuary, 67, of Sharp died Saturday, June 20, 2020, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Friendship United Methodist Church, 9027 S. FM 1915 in Buckholts, with Reed Davis officiating.

Mrs. McQuary was born April 14, 1953, in Cameron to Jack and Marie (Whitaker) Thompson.

She was a graduate of Rockdale High School.

On March 30, 1980, she married James McQuary in Rockdale.

Mrs. McQuary worked at Rockdale ISD as a teacher aide until she retired in 2014.

She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, LR Martin on Dec. 10, 2006, and her parents, Jack and Marie Thompson.

Survivors are her husband, James S. McQuary of Sharp; a daughter, Meagan Satterfield and husband Casey of Dripping Springs; a brother, Jack Thompson and wife Jane Allen of Pelham, Alabama; a sister, Gail Summers of Providence Village; her grandchildren, Hollis, Campbell and Carter Satterfield, Nikki Hamrick and husband Will; her great-grandchildren, Leyton, Addison and Easton Hamrick; her nieces, Blair LaBoon of Houschton, Georgia, Brooke Gore and husband Chad of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her nephews, Daniel Summers and wife Stefanie of Celina, Shane Summers of Flower Mound; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Williamson of Forsyth, Georgia.
