Services for Kathleen Meyer, 83, of Rockdale were Monday, March 9, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Greg Spears Burial followed at Minerva Cemetery.

Mrs. Meyer was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Minerva to Bose Ethridge and Bertha (Beathard) Robinson.

She lived her life in the Rockdale and Minerva area and was a graduate of Rockdale High School.

She married Edgar Henry Meyer on Sept. 22, 1955, in Houston.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Meyer; three brothers, Wesley Emmons, J.T. Robinson and Emmett Robinson; two sisters, Frances Simonton and Elizabeth Neiman; and her parents, Bertha and Bose Robinson.

Survivors are two sons, D. Scott Meyer & wife Susan of Rockdale, Cecil Meyer and wife Frances of Manor; a daughter, Tammy Stephenson and husband Jerry of Rockdale; her grandchildren, Stacy Diestel, Daniel Diestel, Nadia Meyer, Travis Diestel, Samantha LaPlante, Dylan Diestel and Toni Meyer; her great-grandchildren, Mikal Stewart, Dante Diestel, Daphnie Diestel, Braxton LaPlante and Bryce LaPlante; and a brother, James Robinson and wife Harlene of Lubbock.

Pallbearers were Travis Diestel, Dylan Diestel, Mikal Stewart, Joey Graham, Cory Soules, Nathan Bailey, Michael Robinson and Toni Meyer.

Honorary pallbearer was Daniel Diestel, U.S. Army stationed in South Korea.
