Monzingo-Greenwood

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our precious Olivia Grace Monz ingo-Greenwood. Olivia passed away on March 18, 2020.

She was born July 18, 2017, to Megan Monzingo and Otis Greenwood in Austin.

Through her short life Olivia was quick to give a big smile to everyone and had a contagious laugh. Some of her favorite things included the hot dog dance from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, laughing at her brother and sister, bubbles, kicking her legs to music, playing peek-a-boo, her booty-shaking llama, and Goofy.

We are in awe of the strength Olivia showed every day. Beginning life by spending 51 days in NICU, and continuing with multiple hospital visits.

Olivia was a joy and a blessing for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alan Monzingo; her great-grandparents, Doug Monzingo, Otis Greenwood Sr., Eva “Kitty” Greenwood, William and Versie Lister; and a cousin, Cory Monzingo.

Olivia is survived by her parents, Megan Monzingo and Otis Greenwood; sister Ava and brother Eli; her grandmothers, Denise Monzingo and Regina Greenwood; her grandfather, Otis Greenwood Jr.; her aunts and uncles, Morgan Monzingo, Madison Monzingo, Mason Monzingo, Duwayne and Charlotte Holiday, Max and Angel Toliver; and her great-grandparents, Loren and Betty Orme and Kay Monzingo; as well as many great-uncles, great-aunts and cousins.

Due to the shelter in place, a private viewing and graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 31, at Cook Walden Capital Parks with plans to have a celebration of life for Olivia on July 18, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Olivia’s name to Santa’s Little Hackers (PO Box 351402 Westminster, CO 80035) or the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.
