David Mudd, 78, of Milano died Sunday, July 27, 2020, at his home.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. His body will be cremated following services. Visitation is
Visitation is set for 8 a.m. until service time, with the family present starting at 3 p.m.
Mr. Mudd was born on July 17, 1942, in Gonzales to Clarence Otto and Margaret Mae (Allen) Mudd.
He lived in Milano for the past 43 years, moving there from Gonzales.
Mr. Mudd was a U.S. Navy veteran, a production foreman and ranch hand.
He worked for WC Pemberton Oil Co. for 35 years, retiring in 2016.
Mr. Mudd was a member of Liberty Community Church.
He was an avid golfer and a member of Copperas Hollow Country Club in Caldwell.
Mr. Mudd was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, David and Mary (Schobey) Allen; and paternal grandparents, George and Carlena (Knippa) Mudd.
Survivor are three daughters, Dawn Renee Mudd of Milano, Marsha Michelle Leitzke of Kingwood, Pamela Michelle Pritchett and husband Jeff of Kingsbury; his grandchildren, Derek Nathaniel Mudd of Fort Worth, Caitlin Mackenzie Mudd-Peña of College Station, Kyle Andrew Leitzke of Kingwood, Hannah Noel Leitzke of Kingwood and Shelby Michelle Pritchett of Kingsbury; and a brother; Charles Andrew Mudd of Aldine.
