Paris

Pearl Marie Paris, 92, of Rockdale died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 25, at Milam County Cowboy Church in Rockdale. Burial followed at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Mrs. Paris was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Houston to Jessie and Jewel Iris (Welch) Lankford.

She married Charles E. Paris in February 1965 at Galveston.

Mrs. Paris worked as a bus driver for Rockdale ISD for 20 years.

She was a member of Milam County Cowboy Church in Rockdale and enjoyed playing solitaire.

Mrs. Paris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Paris on Jan. 3, 2014; two brothers, Jessie and Guy Lankford; and two sisters, Dorothy Branum and Audrey Franklin.

Survivors are two sons, Norman Macey III and wife Sharon of Humble, George Zimmer and wife Minalea of Cleveland; a daughter, Donna Paris Barker of Rockdale; and a sister, Ruth Melendez of Glen Cove, New York; also, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers were Shawn Zimmer, Ashton Zimmer, Jimmie Gann, Todd Ressel, Aaron Gifford and Rhett Hairston.

Honorary pallbearers were George Zimmer and Norman Macey III.
