CALDWELL—James Dean “Jimmy” Parker Jr., 41, of Caldwell died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at home in the presence of his family.

Funeral services were held at Burleson County Cowboy Church on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, with Pastor Rick Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Parker was born in Caldwell on Feb. 12, 1979.

He was a graduate of Caldwell High School Class of 1997 and a proud Hornet supporter.

He married Jennifer Marie Lopez on Aug. 11, 2001.

Mr. Parker enjoyed watching football, grilling, the outdoors, cleaning up around the yard and garage, hunting and spending time with his children.

He was a hard worker and dedicated 20 years of service to Halliburton.

Mr. Parker was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Taylor; his grandparents, Lester and Doris Wadlington, Hubert and Patsy Parker; and his best friend, Paul “Pablo” Gibson.

Survivors are his wife, Jennifer Parker; two children, Carson and Jaycee Parker; his mother, Karen Taylor; his father, James Dean Parker Sr., a brother, Harlan Parker and wife Jessica; two sisters, Stacy McDonald and husband Kelly, and Josephine Parker; his father- and mother-in-law, Lucio and Cynthia Lopez Jr.; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Lopez, Lori Calhoun and husband Donnie; and his brothers-in law, Jonathan Lopez, Jeffery Lopez and wife Kimberly, all of Caldwell; also, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
