Perry

Bobby Lee Perry, 64, was taken to his Heavenly home following a lengthy illness on May 5, 2021, from his earthly home in Rockdale, where he lived for four years.

In accordance with his request, he was cremated.

He was born at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, then lived in Round Rock for 20 years, attending their schools and graduating from Round Rock High School. He then married and moved to Leander, where he lived until moving to Rockdale.

Bobby was a quiet man but enjoyed golfing, playing with his dog Fancy, and especially fishing with his grandmother. He loved his family, making sure during his last hours that they would be told of his love.

Bobby was a big fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, looking forward to watching the games on TV.

He attended as many birthday parties and celebrations as he could.

Bobby worked for 20 years installing water softeners in Central Texas and was a handyman, willing to help anyone he could.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Perry of Rockdale; his grandparents, J.L. and Ruth Perry of Austin, Tiny and Katherine Bradley of Round Rock.

Survivors are two sons, Edward Lee Perry and Russell Aaron Perry, both of Leander; a grandson, Lucas Jackson Perry; a brother, Brian M. Perry of Navasota; three sisters, Cindy R. Stearns of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Julie A. Goman (Howard) of Brenham, Kathy S. Gonzalez of Manor; and his mother, Mary Katherine Perry of Rockdale; also, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
