Pope

Michelle Pope, 57, of Rockdale died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at Seton Medical Center Williamson in Round Rock.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Pecan Street Church of Christ in Rockdale with Brother John Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Ms. Pope was born Aug. 18, 1962, in Dilly to Doris Bell Pope and James Pope.

She was a lifelong Rock-dale resident and accepted the Lord at an early age.

Ms. Pope graduated from Rockdale High School in 1981.

She enjoyed cooking and spoiling her grandkids.

She was a caregiver at Rockdale Manor Oaks.

Ms. Pope was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Pope in 1978; her father, James Pope in 2007; and a grandson, Cordell McGill in 2013.

Survivors are her husband, Lewis Stewart of Rockdale; her sons, Joshua and Shauntel Pope of Manor, Shadrick Crawford of Lexington; her daughter, Chelsea Stewart and Thomas McGill of Rockdale; two brothers, Tony Pope of Rockdale, James Pope Jr. of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Janaya and Darreon of Manor, Jazzelle of Rockdale and Zoe of Kyle.

Pallbearers are Thomas McGill, Tyrone McGill, Chris Huff, Anton McBride, Bobby Hill and Charlie McBride Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Antonio Pope Jr., Darreon Phillips, Michael Clark and Denny Clark.
