Scott Juel “Big Dawg” Randall, 67, of Rockdale died Sunday, April 4, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor Gary Veit o f fi c i a t i n g .

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Mr. Randall was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Port Lavaca to Ted and Jo Randall.

He was a 1972 Rebel graduate of Maryville High School in Tennessee. He excelled in basketball and went on to play at both East Tennessee State and Seminole Junior College in Florida.

Mr. Randall settled in Rockdale, where he married Alvina Montelongo Randall, on Nov. 29, 1980.

He was a hardworking man who spent 33 years in the potrooms at Alcoa. Scott made many lasting friendships with the people he worked with and loved his job.

Mr. Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Jo Randall; two brothers, Steven Randall and Doug Randall; a niece, Jaime Randall; a nephew, Bryan Douglas Randall; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Montelongo and Bo Montelongo.

Survivors are his wife, Alvina Randall of Rockdale; two daughters, Annamarie Randall, Ashley Cherie Gerner and husband Daniel Gerner; and a granddaughter, Ellie Mae Gerner.

Pallbearers will be Annamarie Randall, Nick Randall, Daniel Gerner, Michael Jackson, Randy J. Morgan and Cat Montelongo.

Honorary pallbearers are Danny Randall, Cameron Randall, Chris Haupt, Jeremy Haupt, Daniel Haupt, Frank Montelongo, Ben Montelongo and Bill Martin.
