Reyes

Joe went home to be with Jesus on June 18, 2021, at the age of 36.

Joe was born on Oct. 3, 1984, to Helen Reyes and Joe Reyes Sr. in Rockdale.

After his graduation from high school in 2003, he went on to study and pitch for the baseball team at Abilene Christian University.

In 2009, he met Amber and they wed in December 2011. He became a father to Kyrsten, and they went on to have two more children.

He is survived by wife Amber Kay Reyes and three children, Kyrsten (15), Ayden (10), Hadley (2); his mother, Helen Reyes; father Joe Reyes Sr.; four siblings, Stefan Ruiz, Victoria Laredo, Ashley Reyes, Sara Reyes; and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Joe loved the Lord and had an unwavering faith in God which he shared with those who surrounded him.

He touched many lives by speaking God’s word, but more than that, he lived it out. He walked in love, leaving behind the residue of Jesus on everyone who knew him.
