Lavita Raye Doss Richter, 66, of Rockdale died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock.

Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Veit of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Richter was born Sept. 10, 1953, to Nolan Pat and Laquita June (Ellis) Doss.

She was a 1972 graduate of Rockdale High School.

On March 2, 1974, she married Larry Ray Richter in Fedor.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Laquita June Doss; her father and stepmother, Nolan P. and Lois Doss; a brother, Billy Lee Doss; her mother- and father-in-law, Albert and Alwina Richter; two brothers-in-law, David Kaderka and Bill Cain; a nephew, Brian Keith Doss; and her best friend and partner-in-crime, Brenda Jean.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Richter of Rockdale; her children, Cheyenne Herrera and husband Abraham of Pflugerville, Laban Richter and wife Lacie of Liberty Hill, Ainsley Richter and husband Jacob Lewis of Cedar Park; a brother, Nolan Doss and wife Kay; a sister, Teresa Kaderka; her grandchildren, Xavier Norment and fiancé Etta Ipyana, Braeden Richter and Brycen Richter; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Cockrill Doss, Betty Cain, Mildred Westfall and husband Jimmy; a brother-in-law, Franklin Richter and wife Katherine; and her grand-dogs, Amos, Owen and Alex; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
