Rowland

Nathan Eugene Rowland, 41, of Taylor died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at 10th Street United Methodist Church in Taylor, with visitation before services starting at 1 p.m. Dr. Travis L. Summerlin of 10th Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mr. Rowland was born Jan. 19, 1979, in Taylor to Paul Eugene and Vickie (Frase) Rowland.

He was a graduate of Taylor High School, Class of ’97.

Mr. Rowland was formerly an investigator and police officer. He recently began pursuing a career as a licensed home inspector.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold “Slim” Eugene Rowland, Esther (Blomquist) Rowland and Cecil Eugene Frase.

Survivors are a son, Mason Eugene Rowland; a daughter, Megan Ross Rowland of Hutto; his parents, Paul and Vickie Rowland of Thrall; two sisters, Salina and husband Toby W. Towery of Thorndale, Mendy and husband James (J.D.) Wallin of Thrall; and his grandmother, Laverne Frase of Noack; also, two nephews and five nieces, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
