Rubio

Benjamin Rubio, 41, of Plano, formerly of Rockdale, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at Medical City Plano Hospital.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Victoria Rubio officiating.

Mr. Rubio was born Dec. 26, 1977, in Rockdale to Marie (Arriaga) and Pete Rubio Jr.

He was a 1996 graduate of Rockdale High School and a TSTC graduate.

Mr. Rubio was an IT senior project manager in telecommunications.

He coached boys basketball, and enjoyed playing the drums, fishing and drawing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Mercedes Rubio and Jose and Maria Arriaga.

Survivors are his children, Kristen Rubio, Marley Rubio and Benjamin Thomas Rubio; his parents, Pete and Marie Rubio; a brother, Pete Rubio and wife Victoria; a nephew, Alex Rubio; and a niece, Olivia Rubio.
