Charlesetta Webb, 71 of Rockdale died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at her home in Rockdale.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Ms. Webb was born June 21, 1950, in Jonah, Williamson County, to Robert B. and Charlene Lucille (Hart) Powell Sr. She was one of 15 children.

Ms. Webb worked as a cook at Luby’s Cafeteria.

She had lived in Rockdale since 1973 and was formerly of Corpus Christi.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Hart; her father, Robert B. Powell Sr.; and a brother, Robert Powell Jr.

Survivors are a son, James L. Webb of Rockdale; two daughters, Shellavon Webb of Houston, Rachelle Burns of Rockdale; 10 sisters, Lillian Fowler, Gwendolyn Smith and husband Richard, Netti Roland and husband William, Brenda Ridyolph and husband Johnny, Eddie Mae Powell, Viola Harris and husband Freddy, and Jacqueline Powell, all of Corpus Christi, Patricia Kyser and Versie Powell of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Eula Ware of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Arthur L. “Jabo” Powell, Andrew “Buddy” Powell and Kenneth Powell and wife Janice, all of Corpus Christi.

Also, 11 grandchildren, Alburnie Reese, James X. Webb, Tevin Mitchell, Edricka Burns, Lisa Vest, Chris Vest, James L. Webb Jr., Jeremiah Webb, Breanna Webb, Hailey Webb and Brennen Connor; and four great-grandchildren, Alburnie Reese. Omri Rivers, Raymond Vest and Isaiah White.
