A funeral service for Tommy Ray Wells Sr., 58, was held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Calvin Graves of Hope Deliverance Temple in Lubbock and Pastor Johnnie Evans Jr. from Divine Purpose Church of God in Christ of San Antonio officiating. Burial followed at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mr. Wells died on Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock.

He was born on April 3, 1961, in Lubbock to James Edward Wells and Ella Lee (Crawford) Wells.

Mr. Wells had been a resident of Manor for the past 15 years. He also lived in Pflugerville, Austin and Rockdale.

He was a supervisor for Browning-Ferris Industries in Austin for 20 years.

Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Ella Lee Wells; and a niece, Crystal Leigh Dixon.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Williams of Manor; three sons, Tommy Ray Wells Jr. and Joshua Wells, both of Bryan, Dameon Williams of Manor; four brothers, James Wells of Eastland, Tracy Bryson of Mt. Pleasant, Charles Wells of Rockdale, Paul Wells of Round Rock; and four sisters, Genell Dixon of Rockdale, Pamula Ogwu of Austin, Denise Brown of Round Rock, Dernika Polk of Hutto; also, his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
