Vivian Morrison Wilburn, 82, of Rockdale died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at Renaissance Villa in Rockdale, surrounded by her loved ones.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Pecan Street Church of Christ in Rockdale with Bro. John Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Wilburn was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Tanglewood to Etta Vernell (Marion) and James Morrison Sr.

She was a graduate of Bartlett High School and a graduate of Christian Beauty School of Austin.

She married Elihue Wilburn Sr. on Jan. 15, 1958.

Mrs. Wilburn worked 35 years as a cook and waitress at Andy’s Café and later The Piano Bar, both in Rockdale. She retired in 2009.

She was a member of Pecan Street Church of Christ.

Mrs. Wilburn enjoyed cooking and playing bingo, cards and dominoes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Etta Vernell Gates and James Morrison Sr.; a brother, James Morrison Jr.; and a sister, Willie Lee Burks.

Survivors are her husband, Elihue Wilburn Sr.of Rockdale; two daughters, Minister Dorene and Dr. Gregory Abrams of San Antonio, Shirley and Pastor Charles Embra of Rock-dale; a son, Elihue Wilburn Jr. of Rockdale; 10 grandchildren, Anissa Wilburn, Shuree Morrison, Vanette Wilburn, Teresa Morrison, Koneiko Jackson and husband Barry, Allex Morrison, Crestal Williamson and husband Jason, Myron Embra and wife Terrica, LaTaira Wilburn and LaKeshia Wilburn; and a special granddaughter, Tangelia Harris; also, 32 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Excell Nelson, Tony Crawford Jr., Edward Dans-by Jr., Katory Morrison, Christopher Nickerson and DeSean Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers were John Robertson Jr., Jermaine Robertson, Allen Dunn, Fred Dunn, Allex Morrison and Myron Embra.
