Bruce Edward Williams of Sugar Land died recent ly at the age of 63.

In view of concerns with COVID-19, a family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Williams was born Feb. 15, 1957, to John and Mildred Williams.

He graduated from Milano High School, where he excelled in football, basketball and track.

Upon attaining his engineering degree from Prairie View A&M University, Mr. Williams was recruited by Halliburton Oil & Industry Co. He worked for Halliburton for over 35 years and achieved the position of chemical sales engineer/ advisor contributing to technology development, training and best practices in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

In addition to his many achievements with Halliburton, where he spent his entire career, one of his proudest moments was receiving the “Gold Rolex” for his dedicated years of service. As Bruce would say with a smile when proudly showing his award, “I earned this one!”

Mr. Williams was a supporter of alumni projects at Prairie View and represented Halliburton at many campus job fairs.

He was preceded in death by his dad, John F. Williams; his brother, Larry Williams, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Williams of Sugar Land; a son, Bruce Williams Jr. of Sugar Land; his mom, Mildred Williams of Milano; his aunts, Clara Hunt of Pflugerville, Gloria Grant of Institute, West Virginia, Mary Burgess of Temple; his brothers, John Williams Jr. (Josephine) of Plano, Ethan Williams (Iris) of Pflugerville, Michael Williams (Ollie) of Oak Leaf, Joel Williams (Jessica) of Temple, Roland Williams (Virginia) of Temple, Ranzey Williams of Lockhart, Enick Williams (Jocelyn) of Lago Vista; and his sisters, Sharon Stein (Paul) of Clinton, Mississippi, Clydia Bowser (John) of Houston, Bonita Whittington (Richard) of El Paso; also, a large extended family with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
