Jerry Woods, 75, of Milano died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at his home.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Thomas Custer of Pentecostal’s of Santa Fe officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Milano Cemetery in Milano.

Mr. Woods was born April 8, 1944, in Milano to Harry Douglas and Marjorie Catherine (Pratt) Woods.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from August 1963 to April 1967.

Mr. Woods worked as a carpenter.

He enjoyed sports, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping.

On Jan. 7, 1989, he married Kitty Stephens in Rockdale.

Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cathleen Phillips; his mother-in-law, Bernice Stephens; and his father-in-law, Raymond Stewart.

Survivors are his wife, Kitty Woods of Rockdale; three sons, Shane Woods and fiancé Julie of Texas City, Wesley Parker, Stephen Vance and wife Tamra, all of Rockdale; three daughters, Jeri Lynn Clark and husband Tracy of Texas City, Kimber Lachelle Woods and John Paul Solano of San Leon, Crystal Ramsey and husband Arron of Lexington; two brothers, Leon Woods of Danbury, Edwin “Ab” Woods and wife Becky of Milano; and two sisters, Linda Hall and husband Jerry, Bonnie Johnson and husband Darrell, all of Milano; also, 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Wesley Parker, Shane Woods Jr., Zachary Sides, Tony McElroy, Haden Ramsey, Tucker Gober, Hunter Vance and Cody Vance.

Honorary pallbearers are Shane Woods, Stephen Vance, Steven Phillips and Blake Vance.
