Yanes

Mary G. Yanes, 77, of Rockdale died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021.

Visitation will be at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, with a rosary to be recited at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 12:15 p.m. in Palacios and a funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Palacios Cemetery.

Mrs. Yanes was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Palacios to the late Monico Gatica and Carmen Chavez.

Mrs. Yanes was preceded in death by Virginia Cantu and Gabriel Gatica.

Survivors are her husband, Victor Yanes of Rockdale; two daughters, Monica Cortez (Gilbert) of Magnolia, Jessica Aragon (Daniel) of San Antonio; three sons, Comilina Yanes, Victor Yanes Jr. and Simon Yanes (Kathy), all of Rockdale; three sisters, Dora Lopez of Baytown, Rosie Herrera (Daniel) of Palacios, Janie Arroyo of Palacios; and four brothers, Mike Gatica (Sadie) of Palacios, Tony Gatica (Cindy) of Pasadena, Bobby Gatica (Lupe) of League City, Marcus Gatica of Palacios; also, 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Reno Yanes, Christopher Yanes, Steven Cortez, Daniel Yanes, Ramiro Arroyo and Zavion Burgess.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Zakori Yanes, Zakobe Anderson, Dominik Anderson, Elijah Garcia, Kolby Garcia and Mateo Aragon.
