Zycha

TAYLOR—James Dale Zycha, 67, of Taylor, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at the VFW Hall in Thorndale.

Mr. Zycha was born Sept. 8, 1953, in Taylor to Joe and Mildred (Zezulka) Zycha.

He worked as a house painter for over 20 years before retiring.

Mr. Zycha loved good barbecue, Cincinnati Reds baseball and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

He enjoyed back-roading, the company of family and friends, and sitting outside listening to Polka.

Mr. Zycha was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mildred Zycha; a brother Leo Zycha; and a sister, Lillian Crisp.

Survivors are two daughters, Tina Wilkerson and husband Keith of Smithville, Kacy Zycha of Rockdale; two sons, J.D. Zycha and wife Kristen of Rockdale, Dalton Zycha of Taylor; two sisters, Irene Bucanek of Taylor, Darlene Pyle and husband John of Taylor; and his grandchildren, Emma, Noah, Novalea, Tyler, Arianna, Dawson and Jensen; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
