Absnaider FLORENCE— Dorothy “Dot” R. Absnaider, 90, died unexpectedly on Oct. 12, 2024, in San Antonio, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 29, 1934, in Rockdale, Dorothy was the third of six children born to Ernest and Tempie Rutherford.

Mr. Sellers KOSSE—Tommy Joe Sellers, of Kosse, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at age 61. Tommy had fought a hard battle with glioblastoma the past eight months but was the victor over the disease as he has now entered Paradise.

TAYLOR—Charles Ray Sutton, 72, of Taylor passed away Oct. 30, 2024, at the Christopher House in Austin after a short illness. Charles was born on May 24, 1952, in Taylor to Emil and Pauline Sutton. He grew up in 10th Street Methodist Church, where he was a member.

Mr. Bartley Rodney Michael Bartley, 71, passed away on Oct. 24, 2024, in Rockdale. Born on Aug. 28, 1953, Rodney, affectionately known to many as Rod, was a devoted man of f aith who touched the lives of those around him with his kindness, honesty and unwavering integrity.

Mrs. Bitner Funeral services for Patricia “Tricia” Ann Pinker ton Bitner, 72 of Rockdale are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral home in Rockdale with Pastor Stephen Ammons presiding. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.

Mr. Fenske Robert Fenske of Rockdale passed away at age 75 on Oct. 26, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Ro b g r ew up in Port Edwards, a small town in Central Wisconsin. He came from a large family and developed a strong work ethic early in his life.

Mrs. Ortega Mar y Harriet “Granny” Munoz Ortega, 90 of Temple passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Our Hospice House in Temple. Services were held Monday, Oct. 21, at St. Mar y’s Catholic Church in Temple with Bishop Daniel Garcia officiating (CA). Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
