Mr. Becker Michael Eugene Becker, my Knight In Shining Armor, age 66, born in San Antonio, a loving husband of 43 years, a father, grandfather, friend, and mentor to many. On July 19, Michael peacefully passed in his sleep at our home in Rockdale to be with the Lord.

Mrs. Stork Evelyn Marie Stork, 88, of Rockdale passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White in Temple. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Patrick Welton officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F.

Biar

Jerry Lynn Biar was born Nov. 26, 1948, to Gerhard and Frances Biar. He would grow up on a farm just outside of Thorndale with his parents and four siblings. Jerry would make Thorndale his home, raising a family that he loved very much.

Veda Marie Talafuse

Veda Marie Talafuse, 78, Veda Marie (Bernard) was born June 30, 1946, in Taylor to Maurice and Ethel (Henninghaus) Bernard. Veda worked in customer service for many years. Veda Bernard and Raymond Talafuse were married May 27, 1998, in Cameron.

Laughlin

CALDWELL—Ruel Michael Laughlin II was born on May 29, 1967, in Baytown, to his parents, Sandra and Ruel Laughlin. He passed away on Aug. 28, 2024, at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, surrounded by his family and friends. Michael graduated from Caldwell High School in 1985.
