Mr. Simpson Donnie C. Simpson was born in Fort Worth on Feb. 5, 1943. He grew up in Rockdale and attended Sam Houston State University. His father, Love Simpson, died in World War II. Don was raised by his wonderful mother and stepdad, Pauline and Eli Scarbrough.
