FALLING FAR FROM THE TREE Is it too early to start talking about Christmas? In my book it is definitely too early, but I need to make an exception this year because an important deadline is coming up on Nov. 4. Some of my favorite childhood memories are from Christmastime.

100 YEARS AGO.... It was Milano’s turn to vote on a road improvement bond issue. Milano-area residents petition was accepted and Milam County Commissioners called for a $150,000 election on Nov. 22 which would results in 60-70 miles of “good roads” in the Milano administrative district. Dr. L. L.
