Rockdale Historical Society and the Rockdale I&GN Depot Museum presented an old-fashioned blacksmith demonstration by local expert Abe Doss on Saturday at the depot. More than 30 people came to watch.

The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Friday for 3 P’s Ice Cream in Waymar Plaza at which the first 50 people to arrive received free ice cream samples. The three P’s are holding the scissors (L-R) Paula, Paulina and Paul Waak.

Radio club meets Tuesdays in Rockdale, Cameron Milam County Radio Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. On odd number months, the club meeting is in Rockdale (January 14) at Banda’s Mexican Restaurant. On even number months the club meets at the Dairy Queen in Cameron.
