Cameron officer, suspect dead in shootout

CAMERON PD OFFICER, SUSPECT BOTH DEAD IN SHOOTOUT   An early morning shootout left the suspect and a Cameron Police officer both dead.   Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore confirmed a Cameron PD officer is dead after authorities executed a raid early this morning in Cameron.

Fiesta at Wolf Park

The Chamber of Commerce will host a fiesta party at the farmers market at Wolf Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with a salsa contest and a pinata for the kids.

RPD asks for help from the public over shooting

The Rockdale Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in the shooting death of Jeffery McKinney Jr. on April 27. “We are also asking our citizens who may have doorbell or security cameras to review your footage from this date between the hours of 5 p.m.

Grants available for rural woman-owned businesses
