Hospital district votes to maintain tax rate The Rockdale Hospital District’s (RHD) tax rate will remain at 6.5 cents for another year. Karolyn Puccio, hospital board president, said the board member voted unanimously at the July 26 meeting to not raise the rate from its current number.

Comptroller’s office to lead new Broadband Development Office

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar on Tuesday announced his agency will operate a newly-created Broadband Development Office (BDO). The BDO will award grants, low-interest loans and other financial incentives to internet service providers who expand access to broadband service in underserved areas.
