CTFB visit set Thursday at KC Hall parking lot

The last Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) Mobile Food Pantry distribution of August in the KC Hall parking lot will be held on Thursday, according to Rockdale Christian Services Chair Pam Warren. Distributions are held the first and third Thursdays of each month. 9 to 11 a.m.

‘New’ drug turns up in Rockdale

Rockdale police had their first encounter with a new type of illegal substance during the past week. Lt. Stephen Goodrich of the Rockdale Police Department said a 30-year-old Rockdale woman was arrested before dawn Monday and charged with possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram).

TRAFFIC STOPPER—Literally. This giant transformer slowed, and at times shut down, traffic along US 79 through Rockdale as it zig-zagged its way through the heart of downtown one morning early last week.

MISD school year begins Thursday

Trail Life USA local TX-1516 holds open house
