JUDGE ISSUING NEW MASK WEARING ORDER

  Milam County Judge Steve Young on Thursday issued a new mask-wearing order mandating persons over age 10 to wear masks while shopping and some other activities.  The order goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, June 29, and is related to a dramatic increase in COVID-19 infections.

 Milam County Judge Steve Young has reported five new cases of COVID-19 in the county, bringing the total to 78. The judge will address the county in a Facebook video at 1 p.m. Thursday in which he is expected to impose new measures. Site is Moving Milam Forward.

Cameron Yoe High School graduating senior Heath Hollas has received the $750 Bill Vogelpohl Scholarship, which is presented every year through the Rockdale Fair Association. Hollas graduated in May. He is the son of Gery and Theresa Hollas and plans to attend Baylor University.
